How Can severe Headache Along With Chills Be Treated?

Last night my husband woke up with chills that made him shiver, headache,and the start of a boil in his grin area. Today he took Advil to take the edge off the pain for work. He still has the headache, chills with his chest feeling tight when he shivers. He is not running a fever. He is very uncomfortable and lots of pain. Is there anything that can be done to reduce the pain for tonight? He plans on going to the ER in the morning, hoping it can be lanced.

I recommend again taking advil for pain and draining the boil as soon as possible is necessary.
